Attention, Windows Phone Developers! Microsoft has released an updated Windows Phone SDK, wearing the 7.1.1 version numbering. There are two major additions to the update: first, it allows for app development for devices with 256 MB memory and second, it now supports the new Windows 8 platform.
There are now two images: one for 512 MB-enabled devices — which is now using build 8773 — and one which emulates the new devices that sport 256MB or memory. If you are a Windows Phone developer (or consider becoming one), you should head over to the source links below to find out more information as well as to grab the download from Microsoft’s servers.
