With Q4 2011 now upon us, it won’t be long before we get the chance to finally see the first Windows Phone handset manufactured by Nokia. We’ve heard about both the Sea Ray as well as Sabre, and some recent comments from Stephen Elop suggest that both might be released before the year’s out. Just when will they get here, though? In just a few weeks we should have a much more rounded sense of Nokia’s upcoming plans, thanks to the opportunity provided by the company’s annual Nokia World conference. The list of speakers has now been posted, giving us some hints of what to expect.
Obviously, the Nokia brass will be in attendance, with CEO Elop at the forefront. It’s no secret that everyone is looking forward to Windows Phone news, and the inclusion of a couple big names at Microsoft means we should be getting just that. On the first day of Nokia World, Joe Belfiore is set to speak before attendees, and day two will see Brandon Watson take the stage. Between them, and the handful of other Microsoft employees speaking, we’re quite optimistic about learning the launch details for at least one, if not more Nokia WP7 smartphones.
Nokia World will take place on October 26 and 27 in London; we’ve got three weeks to go.
