Not so long ago we told you that Windows Phone‘s next update, codenamed Mango, will be called Windows Phone 7.5 according to to some text on the Microsoft Partner website. Turns out that Mango is likely to be called Windows Phone 7.1 — which would break the Build number rule as we’re already counting Build 7392.
According to the MSDN page sourced below and imaged above, Windows Phone OS 7.1 is getting New APIs in Silverlight. What’s Windows Phone 7.1? Most probably Mango. We’ll definitely find out in four hours or so but just for the record, going with Windows Phone 7.5 would make much more sense from the build number perspective than let’s say having Windows Phone 7.1 Build 7500 or similar. Any thoughts?
