It looks like the developer edition of LG’s Windows Phone 7 device, nicknamed Panther, will be launching as the Optimus 7. The Windows Phone 7 device will join LG’s flagship Optimus series, which will include Android smartphones and tablets. The manufacturer had demoed the Optimus 7 at the IFA tradeshow, complete with a customized DLNA streaming application to stream content on the phone over a wireless connection to a television set. Engadget has a video posted of the DLNA action.
