OEMs have a dedicated section in the Windows Phone Marketplace where they add own applications for users rocking phones made by them (and sometimes other apps). It looks like LG has started updating some of its own applications, making them ready for Windows Phone’s Mango update.
In the image above we are trying to download LG’s own ScanSearch to an LG Optimus 7 running Windows Phone 7 Mango Build 7720 RTM. We get a warning that the application is taking use of a hardware component that is not present on our device. That, coupled with the ability to fast-app-switch makes the ScanSearch app Mango-ready. According to WPCentral, MetroScan app seems to be ready too while LG needs to update the remainder of its applications until Mango hits the shelves.
