We’ve heard lots of things about the “8107 update” for Windows Phone, with what it brings and more important, with what it does not bring (and that’s a fix for the SMS vulnerability).
According to Microsoft, the 8107 refresh will be available “to all carriers that request it”. The information came straight from the official Windows Phone blog but if you have an unlocked LG Optimus 7 (or a Vodafone-branded one) in Europe, you should receive the update notification.
As a recap, it fixes the on-screen keyboard issue, the Gmail sync issue, a location access issue, revokes digital certificates from DigiCert, fixes a voicemail notification issue and an email issue related to Exchange 2003. Windows Phone updates being cumulative, you’ll also receive all the updates that you or your carrier skipped.
