We’ve heard several rumors of Windows Phone build 7740 before Microsoft officially confirmed the existence of the new platform build. Redmond also detailed that some features included in the update had to do with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 sync compatibility and this exact update was just delivered to our unlocked, non-carrier-branded LG Optimus 7 in Europe.
The above update notification popped up both on the phone and Zune. As you can see, the update fixes “an email issue related to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003″ as well as “a voicemail notification issue”. Took 5 minutes to update from start to finish and the new OS number reported by the platform is 7.10.7740.16. We’ll let you know as soon as we find something that might have been changed or added.
