The LG Fantasy was one of many upcoming LG smartphones we revealed this past summer. The selection of devices planned for the remainder of 2011 included Android and Windows Phone models, with the Fantasy one of the latter. We showed you a render of the phone at the time, but now some photos of actual hardware have emerged, claiming to be the very same LG Fantasy.
According to the user who posted these images to the XDA-Developers forums, he was able to purchase the handset from an LG tester in Romania. We haven’t seen any actual shots of the handset in use, but he reports the phone to be running Mango, and that it includes several development-related apps that cannot be removed. The one spec the lucky new owner was able to provide was that the phone features a four-inch IPS LCD.
We’ve seen a couple models pop up in various log files that could be potential candidates for the Fantasy. There’s been the T130L, as well as the LS831, though since we saw the latter hit the FCC with a CDMA radio, it’s unlikely to be exactly the same model we’re talking about undergoing European testing. A lot of this could be resolved with a little help from the owner, but he’s yet to respond to requests for additional info.
