PR at work and product placements are nothing new nowadays but it’s definitely worth a mention when a Frankenstein build smartphone appears on a TV Show, crossing an Android HTC smartphone with Microsoft‘s latest Windows Phone 7.

This week’s episode of Smallville unveiled something not many of us (and you out there) ever dreamed about. The Google Android 2.1 Eclair powered HTC Hero running Microsoft Windows Phone 7. Since we’re quite positive there’s no prototype out there that resembles the image above, we’ll call this a product placement fail. Now, can we get our Windows Phone 7 powered HTC EVO 3D? Thank you!
