Earlier today we got a glimpse at an upcoming HTC handset that is destined to run Windows Phone 7. Dubbed the HD7, it’s an evolution of the slate form factor made famous by the HD2.

These newer pictures show the same device but with markings labeling it as the HD3. Whether this phone comes to be called the HD3 or HD7, it seems that the device does an interesting trick: the metal area surrounding the camera flips out to act as a kickstand. Absent from these leaked photos are any HTC enhancements like the HTC Hub that has been seen in various videos and screenshots.
