We’ve known since the October 11th Windows Phone 7 device launch that the HTC 7 Pro QWERTY slider would be hitting Europe in GSM form sometime early next year, and now o2 Germany has told us to expect the handset as early as next month. The carrier has posted a landing page for the 3.6-inch WVGA device allowing customers to reserve their units, specifying January as the anticipated month of availability. No pricing was given.
Also coming to Sprint in a CDMA embodiment (WiMax support is still unknown), the 7 Pro will be just one of three Windows Phone 7 devices with physical QWERTY keyboards, when it launches, and the only other portrait slider besides the LG Quantum / Optimus Q. Its tilting screen would seem to make it the spiritual successor to the Touch Pro 2, which itself was a generation-skipping followup to the TyTN II / AT&T Tilt.
