If you’ve got tired of waiting for that certain update notification to pop-up on your Windows Phone or on your computer’s Zune client, Chris Walsh from the ChevronWP7 team has got the solution for you.
The Windows Phone support tool released by Microsoft yesterday, in order to fix some update issues, opened up a completely new path for the ChevronWP7 team. You don’t need to have a jailbroken device nor the procedure cares about your smartphone being operator branded or not.
You basically have to run the ChevronWP7.Updater.exe console app and follow the prompts. For a complete set of instructions as well as links to separate x86 and x64 Windows versions of the app, head over to the source link. Happy updating!
Note: You are using this at your own responsibility and you understand the risks of losing your device’s warranty and information.
