While music you download or buy using your Zune pass on either your Computer or phone will carry proper tags and display album art as well as the artist background picture, this might not be the case with some of the songs you’ve previously acquired or that are in your Computer’s library and synced to Windows Phone 7.

In order for Zune on Windows Phone 7 to display pictures, album art and link to the artist on the Marketplace, songs need to be properly tagged but sometimes tagging is just not enough. If you’re having a hard time finding album info on Zune software, check out a small tool called Zune Social Tagger which you can use to link a previously acquired album in your collection to the corresponding album on Zune. Once linked, not only the tags will be corrected but when synced to Windows Phone 7 and played back, you will benefit from the full visual experience of music playback, including album art, background picture as well as artist picture on the Zune Live Tile.
