If you’ve got the Windows Phone Marketplace pinned to your start screen as a live tile, you may have noticed this morning that an update is available for the Facebook for Windows Phone app. The update brings the version number to 1.5, but does not add the features you were really looking for such as a Live Tile, Push notifications, or Facebook chat capabilities. The new changes are minor beginning with a renaming of the auto refresh setting to “Cach expiration” and now the notifications listing has smaller type, but you can touch the whole thing to go to the related post rather than having to touch just a small word or piece of the notification update. The new version also brings some nice performance enhancements where moving between screens and scrolling is much smoother even after first launching the app which is where it would generally bog down while updating content initially. Have you noticed anything else that’s new in the 1.5 update?
