If you were patiently waiting for eWallet to appear in the Windows Phone 7 marketplace, you may have quickly purchased the eWallet GO app only to find out that there was no way to get your eWallet 7 desktop wallets onto the mobile app. Luckily Illumsoft has made a transfer utility available which makes it somewhat easy to get all of that secure password data onto your Windows Phone 7. Unfortunately, it does not sync with your desktop software (or any other mobile devices), but at least you’ll be able to access the data.
The way it works is you open the utility on your desktop, select your eWallet file, and it will convert the data into a backup file that is then uploaded to either Google Docs or Dropbox using account information that you specify. Then on Windows Phone 7′s eWallet Go! app, you choose the “Restore” option and enter the same Google Docs or Dropbox information. That will then overwrite your current eWallet Go data with the data from your real eWallet. If you edit eWallet cards on Windows Phone 7, there’s no way to get that information back into your desktop eWallet 7 software though.
