We recently saw a huge update to the official Facebook app for Windows Phone that brought some great changes, however many people complained that there was no Events list. You could only access events if they showed up in your notifications list, or through Windows Phone’s integrated Facebook calendar. Well, the Facebook app has just been updated and now the Events list is back! The item shows up under your Favorites listing now. It includes a list of upcoming events you’ve been invited to, along with a list of upcoming birthdays, a search button, and the ability to pin events to your start screen.
While it’s great to have the events list back (I use them a lot), another feature has been removed. In the News Feed filters it looks like you can no longer filter by custom list. You can now only filter by most recent, photos, videos, links, pages, and events.
If you’ve already got the Facebook app installed you should see an update available for it in the Windows Phone Marketplace.
