The HTC 7 Pro has been announced since day one, that is with the occasion of the Windows Phone 7 launch event, as being a CDMA phone that will (sometime) arrive to Sprint exclusively.
Back in December we saw the first confirmation of a European GSM variant of the phone which was then filmed later on. Not much later the first pictures of the original Sprint variant surfaced and now we can witness the unboxing of the European HTC 7 Pro (though not in a final, retail packaging).
Everyone compares the handset with the HTC Touch Pro2 and even more, everybody is expecting the Taiwanese company’s first hardware keyboard-enabled Windows Phone 7 to be on par with the Touch Pro2 QWERTY-quality-wise. The 7 Pro is thick and weighs 185g which is rather normal for a slide-out smartphone, but the build quality seems to be top notch. The only cons the unboxer mentions are the short key travel with the sliding mechanism which sounds a bit squeaky. For other pictures, head over to the source link and check them out.
