It has not been an easy road being a Dell Venue Pro owner. You can take your pick of issues the phone has faced: WiFi problems, a broken digital compass, or just the weeks and weeks of waiting for Mango. While most every other Windows Phone smartphone was seeing Mango arrive, DVP owners on AT&T (along with the Samsung Focus version 1.4) were starting to look left behind in the dark ages. Late last month, Microsoft updated its notes on Mango distribution, mentioning that these last couple of models had moved onto the “testing” phase. Now, a month later, Mango is finally headed out to those very patient DVP owners.

Fire up your Zune software and don’t waste any more time getting Mango installed. Sure the digital compass doesn’t work, but after all the waiting you’ve been through, we’ve got a feeling that most of you will be able to overlook that issue.
