Beards & Beaks Add-on Content

Beards & Beaks is one of the first original games to come out of Microsoft’s Game Studios for Windows Phone 7 and it’s also the first to offer in-game purchasing of add-on content. The free trial of the game gives you a small handful of easy levels to play and if you like that, the full game costs $2.99 for a much larger set of levels to play (in addition to Xbox LIVE connectivity and achievements). If you still want more, there are 3 extra sets of levels that you can download after that. The forest scene levels are a free download, but the cave and mountain map levels will cost an extra 80 Microsoft Points each. You can also purchase mushroom baskets that give the gnomes more special powers in defeating the crows.

In our video below we’ll show you how to add content to the Beards & Beaks game, but we’ve also got some codes (courtesy of Microsoft’s Xbox LIVE team) to give away that will let you add more levels to Beards & Beaks for free. You’ll have to buy the $2.99 game first since there is currently no way for the Windows Phone Marketplace to accept special coupons for free games. We’ll be posting codes for free levels here on Pocketnow.com in the comments below, on our Pocketnowtweets twitter account, in the YouTube video comments for the below video, and on the Pocketnow Facebook fan page. So keep an eye out!
