According to an AT&T Community Manager’s posting, the carrier is not planning to offer the Windows Phone 8107 update. The refresh solves the famous “keyboard bug”. Of course, as with any Windows Phone update, carriers can skip one but need to offer the subsequent one, which is cumulative anyways.
However, we need to remember Eric Hautala’s famous post: “In the months ahead, we’ll continue to send out firmware and maintenance updates as needed. These will be available across the globealthough not everybody will receive or require them. It depends on your country, carrier, and phone model”.
Windows Phones on AT&T might not get the 8107 update — an you have to live with the keyboard bug if you experience it — but they will definitely get the Tango update, or another one (in any case, the next one) which should solve all the issues. However, until we hear official wording from AT&T (and we’re thinking PR and not Community Manager), treat this accordingly.
