The HTC HD7 was available on T-Mobile for about $199 with a new contract — we gave it a 3.5 out of 5 — but looks like AT&T has got it up its sleeve with the carrier announcing the HTC HD7S.
AT&T is announcing the HD7S as the largest screened Windows Phone 7 to be available on the carrier as it will be joining the HTC Surround, Samsung Focus and LG Quantum. It will be shipping with the latest version of Windows Phone 7 — that is the NoDo update already applied — pretty much like the HTC Arrive on Sprint. As usual with AT&T Windows Phones, it will come preloaded with U-verse.
The AT&T HD7S will be available in the next weeks from the carrier and sport a 4.3-inch WVGA super LCD display, 1GHz processor, five-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash. The specs are the same as with the T-Mobile HD7, only the carrier’s changed. Wonder if this will be the first step in unifying portfolios as a direct effect of the merger between AT&T and T-Mobile.
Side note: Looks like some more Photoshop fun in the Marketing department as the Games Hub appears (again, a la Sprint Arrive) in landscape. Additionally, the People Hub appears that way too! Don’t get your hopes up, it’s just a mistake!
