What is it with Windows Phone and giant handsets created for promotional purposes? Microsoft built itself one in New York City early last month, then Nokia raised the bar by not only building a giant smartphone OUT of other smartphones, but transforming London’s Millbank Tower into what might be the biggest Lumia 800 ever. The latest to show up is a fully-interactive, 30-foot-tall Windows Phone on the Champs-Élysées in Paris.

This giant Windows Phone handset just went up tonight, and will remain in operation for the next 10 days. Passersby can take the opportunity to interact with the towering screen by using a specially-tethered WP7 handset. The whole presentation is Christmas-themed, and kids can use the phones available to send messages to Santa.
