Power
- Removing all but Windows Mobile: if you want a really, really fast Xperia, here is what you do.
- Start a hard reset (remember to back up all of your data and contacts)
- Take off the battery cover and take out the stylus, but not the battery
- When the phone first loads it asks you to calibrate the screen, do this and then you are given a tutorial on how to copy and paste
- Set a simple password (this is important so do it)
- Before the customization screen comes on, do a soft reset by pushing the stylus into the soft reset button like on the right side of the battery
Text/ Texting

Unlocking a Panel
- How to unlock a panel in Xperia:
- HKLM/Software/SonyEricsson/PanelManager/Panels/[your panel]/Locked ([your panel] could be "Vodafone Panel") and change the value to "0".
- After a soft-reset, you can disable the panel or put another one at it's place...

Reassigning the X-Panel Button
- This will remove the panel function of the X1, freeing up the X-Panel key to be used for another purpose.
- Kill the 'panelmanager.exe' process
- Delete the folder 'HKLM/Software/SonyEricsson/PanelManager'
- Browse to 'Windows/Startup' and delete 'panelmanager' and 'paneldefault'
- Use AEbuttons to assign the panel key to a new function
