- Emabling Internet Sharing On Epix
- Connect your device to your computer and sync it
- Ok now you will want to "unlock your phones security" this allows you to change any registry key, download Security Configuration Manager from Security Configuration Manager
- Connect your device and Install the setup.msi file from the SCM (Security Configuration Manager) download.
- Under the Selected Configuration tab select "Security Off"
- Click the "Provision" button, SCM will install a cab file called Tool.cab to your device, restart and you will now be able to edit any registry key on your phone
- You will want to delete ForceCellConnection, which is found under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\settings.
- Restart your device
- and there you have it a perfectly good internet sharing device, now call att with a phoney imei from a cheap medianet enabled phone tell them you dropped your Epix in the toilet and tell them you just want the unlimited Medianet for 15 bucks a month... works like a charm.

Pictures/ Photographs
- Take photos with Geo Info Enabled for Omnia (which means the pictures taken by Omnia contain GPS information)
- The geo info within those pictures can be automatically parsed by Flickr.
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-->SOFTWARE-->SAMSUNG-->RIL-->GPS-->XTRA the default value of Enable is 0, change to 2
- After that, launch Camera app, there will be a new antenna there, then you know what to do
- This setting doesn't search and locate satellites automatically before you take picturs so I suggest use applications like BEELINEGPS to search satellites first and after you do locate some satellites, take picturs with fun.

Texting
- Get rid of the SMS Message Sent notification (SGH-i780)
- Note: If an SMS is really failed, your service provider (AT&T or Vodafone) will notify you and/or re-send it so the notification is, sort of, otiose.
- Here is a registry trick to remove the notification dialogue
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Inbox/Settings/SMSNoSentMsg
- change the DWORD from 0 to 1

- Using SilverInbox as default mail handler on Omnia
- To use the SilverInbox program, which is a message/sms manager provided by Samsung, optimized mainly to be more touch-friendly than Pocket Outlook, as the default app on the Omnia:
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Samsung\MiniToday
- Change silverinbox value to "1" (without the double quotes).
- After a soft-reset, SilverInbox will open when clicked anywhere on the os, instead of default WM Outlook.
