PhoneScoop got some extended hands-on time with the upcoming HP Palm Pre 2, which packs a faster 1GHz CPU and more RAM than the Palm Pre Plus that’s available today. WebOS 2.0 software has the new Stacks feature that will group similar cards together. Confused as to how this works in practice? You may want to give this video a watch. Several examples of Stacks are shown, such as launching a website from an email and having the email and the website live in one stack, and also grouping together different screens from the Facebook application. You can also manually stack items together. Let’s say you want to group all of your social media apps together and keep them open for quick and easy reference: you could stack Facebook and Twitter, and keep your fast-app switching neat and tidy.
Also shown in the video is a bit of the hardware, and we can’t help but still feel underwhelmed by the design for the second-gen Pre.
