HP’s recently-introduced Palm Pre 2 now seems like a lock for the Roger’s network in Canada, if images published by Mobile Syrup are indeed genuine. We had already heard that the Pre 2 would be arriving at Rogers thanks to some buried code on the Palm Canada site (which also hinted at an eventual AT&T release stateside), making these photos depicting alleged marketing material and an actual device purportedly running on carrier’s network all the more believable. Mobile Syrup had originally posted an update claiming an unconfirmed November 9th launch date and CA$100 on-contract price, but that information has since been pulled.
The Pre 2 is more of a refresh to the Pre / Pre Plus than a full overhaul of those devices; it sports the same body style and screen while boosting processor speed to one gigahertz and including the latest webOS operating system, version 2.0. Originally released by SFR in France, the Pre 2 will be coming to Verizon on the US, reportedly sometime next month.
