You might have heard that the HP TouchPad is being discounted tremendously across many stores, such as Best Buy, after HP announced last week that they would not longer be making WebOS hardware. If you go to your local Best Buy, you’re unlikely to find any in stock. Where you will find them, however, is Barnes & Noble, where they’re selling for just around $100. So buy one for your dog, cat, and your mother, or just buy one for yourself so that you can own a cheap tablet. It’s also very likely that the development community will soon port Android, and perhaps other operating systems, onto the HP tablet, so it might be a good one to keep around.
Update: And they’re gone!
