If you remember our post about the buggy Bluetooth software HTC has decided to use on the Touch Pro2 and new HD2, you’ll remember how annoying it is. Well, now that these new devices have been available for a while, it turns out there are a lot more problems with this non-standard Bluetooth stack.

Many users are having issues connecting to other types of peripherals that worked great using the Microsoft Bluetooth stack normally used in Windows Mobile devices. You’ll also see a couple surveys on XDA Developers and PPC Geeks, showing majority percentages of users having problems with HTC’s new Bluetooth software.

Then, of course, there are the software incompatibilities. Microsoft’s Voice Command, considered an essential program by many, doesn’t route text-to-speech announcements via Bluetooth hands-free profiles even when the option is turned on. There’s also PowerPoint 2010 Mobile’s great presentation companion feature, which does not work with HTC’s non-standard Bluetooth software. You may see issues with GPS navigation programs and other Bluetooth enabled applications as well.

If you are experiencing issues with Bluetooth on the Touch Pro2 or HD2, please feel free to report the problems to HTC via their support page and request that the proper Bluetooth stack be implemented in future ROM upgrades.
