On previous versions of SPB Mobile Shell, the HTC menus would remain intact even with TouchFLO 3D or Sense disabled. With Mobile Shell 3.5.3, however, the skinned menus are disabled in favor of the standard Windows Mobile menus. Fortunately, for those who prefer the HTC style menus, there’s a way to get them back.

To re-enable them, you can make a couple registry edits which are posted on XDA-developers. If you prefer something more automatic, like a CAB file, you can get that from PPCGeeks. Now, if only we could get HTC’s task manager enabled again with 3.5.3…

Note: this fix will work with any UI enabled, not just Mobile Shell. Must be an HTC device that uses these system-wide soft menus.
