With the release of the HTC Touch Diamond2 and the upcoming, highly anticipated – HTC Touch Pro2, we are subject to a whole new level of mobile experience, as these new devices feature a new, evolved version of TouchFLO 3D, that goes in deeper into the Operating System, by even replacing the good old Start Menu. Want it back?
For those of you who got used over time to the old Start Menu and would like to disable HTC’s replacement, you need to either:
1. download and install this cab, courtesy of XDA Developers, or
2. edit your registry as follows:
Go to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareHTCEnlargeMenu” and set
“EnableManilaStartMenu” to a value of dword:00000000. Then go to “HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareHTCManila” and grant “Manila://programs.page.hidden” a value of dword:00000000.
Don’t forget to soft reset in order for changes to take effect!
