Direct Printing from Your Device

PictBridge is an industry standard for direct printing which allows images to be printed directly from digital cameras to a printer, without having to connect the camera to a computer. Well, no2chem has discovered that later devices that come out with Jetcet Print 5 can be hacked into PictBridge and Direct USB printing.

In order for this to work, the version of Jetcet Print on your device needs to be at least 5.0.904.12 or higher and you need to edit your registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareAppsWESTTEKJETCET Print 5Settings and change the value of SupportedPrinterTypes to dword:3F (that is decimal 63). You should now be able to Add PictBridge printer (I wasn’t able to exactly, but I was able to “Add USB Direct Printer” instead).
