LnkMe is a small application from XDA Developers that can be used to create automated shortcuts for either SMSing or Calling a specified contact or number, with the ease of launching a simple such shurtcut placed anywhere on your device.

Firing up the application will allow you to select what type of action you want the shortcut to execute: SMS someone or Call someone. Then you fill in the Contact name and Number – or you can get one from your Address Book and then select the Destination folder where the shortcut will be placed. Launching that shortcut will automatically do what you’ve selected (for instance, you no longer need to start Messaging, New SMS, insert name/number, etc., but do it with one tap to your favorite for whom you’ve created the shortcut).
