WM Experts found a good tip for getting the native Windows Mobile word completion back on your HTC Touch Pro2. The registry edits might also work on other devices where word completion has been disabled. The instructions are also detailed on XDA-developers.com and there’s a CAB file auto-installer at PPC Geeks.
If you have a registry editor installed, the changes are pretty simple. Be sure that:
HKLMSoftwareTegiceT9XT9SupportMSSip has a value of 0
Change these two registry keys under:
HKLMsystemcurrentcontrolsetcontrollayoutse0010409
Ime File: windowset9ime.dll –> Ime File: windowscompime.dll
Layout Text : ET9 IME –> Layout Text : COMP IME
Soft reset and you’re done!
