Application to Dynamically Adjust Processor Speed

File under: News
By: Anton D. Nagy | Date: 20-Apr-09 | - Comments

no2chem has managed to overcome a Windows Mobile bug and release his application called nueDynamicClock, which will basically make your Qualcomm(R) MSM7201A(TM) and MSM7501A(TM) powered device perform in a more environment friendly way.

nueDynamicClock will constantly monitor your device usage and will dynamically adjust your processor speed based on different levels of idleness. By doing so, it is advertised to prolongue battery life without affecting performance. This resembles very much the way PC processors are constantly monitored and over/underclocked according to usage.

As stated by the author, "a program monitor and a scheme for picking clock speeds based on which programs are running is in the works". Until then, please support the author with your donation if you find his work useful.

Update: After download, transfer nueDynamicClock-100-v1.0-installer.exe to your device, either by Bluetooth or USB and execute it from the device. It should install and reboot after installation is finished.

Warning: Do not install on the HTC Titan/Mogul, HTC Vogue or HTC Kaiser. Do not install on a device that is not based on the MSM7xxx processor.
