…and this may explain the recent round of possible fakes from HTCPedia and other sites (today WMPU is reporting that the Touch Diamond was spotted running WP7S). Over at MobileTechWorld, they’ve filmed a video of an HD2 running WP7S, and the results are very believable. Here’s how they did it:
What I actually did was set my desktop in portrait mode, then set it to 720×480, start the Windows Phone 7 Emulator and start Remote Desktop software on the HTC HD2 to control it. Voila!
That said, it’s still possible (and probably likely) that in the near future we’ll see legacy Windows Phone devices running WP7S. The questions still remains how easy the process will be.
