AutoLight is an application to handle automatic backlighting of your Light Sensor enabled Windows Phone (HD, Diamond2, Touch Pro2) that would serve as an alternative to the default way the OS is handling it. Read more on how this works!
You need to install two cabs: AutoLight goes first, to device then comes AutoLight.Config after which you need to Soft Reset so that the application takes over managing backlight.
Use the AutoLight Configurator to set and customize a large number of settings like Startup delay, Check interval, Setup interval and so on. The second tab of the configurator brings you a visual representation of ten lighting states, allowing you to configure the behaviour of each one. Typical usage scenario: when your regular environment gets as darkest as possible, fire up the configurator and set limits of level 1 to suit your needs. Do the same for level 10, the brightest environment.
The third tab allows you to add custom profiles for applications. You can add a custom application by tapping the plus sign and entering the application’s title, after which you can set values for backlighting and choose from three modes: +, = and -. Plus and minus will increase or decrease the level while equal will match it.
This app has been developed for the Diamond2 but it should work on Touch Pro2 and HD as well.
