We do a lot of unboxings here. There’s nothing like unwrapping a hot new gadget for the very first time, and we like to capture that on video for you when we can. It’s up to the carrier or OEM to make the unboxing experience interesting and memorable so that from the very first time you peal back the plastic on the box of the device that you just paid an arm and a leg for, you’re excited. That makes us wonder…what was your favorite smartphone unboxing ever? Feel free to just tell us in the comments or link us to a video. It could be something you’ve unboxed in the past personally, or a video you saw somewhere of someone else unboxing something.
To get things started, here are two particularly memorable unboxing experiences I had. First, the Touch Pro2, which HTC placed in beautiful pyramid shaped box. After opening the box, inside there was a triangular structure with a hard plastic top. Beneath the plastic top was the Touch Pro surrounding in felt with the keyboard slid open. Bam!
And my second favorite unboxing would have to be the HD2. The moment where the massive-screened device appeared after sliding off the battery cover was a moment to behold. The gorgeous device rest in a divot, surrounded by green coloring.
