While the Windows Mobile specs released earlier today seems too good to be true for some and provide for hopeful optimism for others, they may in fact be only for one class of Windows Mobile devices. Said class may be entertainment and media geared and may fall right in line with the Project Pink Zune integration that we’re hearing concocted every so often.
It is interesting to note that the Windows Mobile 7 specs reveal that they are for “chassis 1,” which could be assuming that there will be more than one chassis in the future. The large 3.5-inch WVGA to FWVGA display, and 3.5 mm headphone jack do point to something media centric, and this could be Microsoft’s answer to the Zune while still relying on hardware partners like Samsung, HTC, Motorola, LG, Acer, Asus, and others. According to Engadget Mobile, this could be the Pink phone, or rather one of many.
A chassis 2 Windows Phone may be a smaller, less featured device that may or may not offer all the required specs.
