MobilitySite is reporting that Windows SideShow is now available on Windows Mobile 5 and 6 devices. The demo shows SideShow running on a Windows Mobile 6 Standard Motorola Q9 device.
SideShow is the technology that allows basic PIM data, email, and gadgets that are typically on Windows Vista to be viewed on Windows Mobile among other things. SideShow also allows you to control your MP3s and PowerPoint presentation through Windows Mobile.
You can visit Ikanos Consulting for more information or email them for a beta copy. The software will allow you to see information on your PC through USB, Bluetooth, or WiFi.
I personally don’t see the need for this software if you have a Windows Mobile device, especially if you use an Exchange server as most of your emails, PIM, and basic information can already be accessed and viewed through Windows Mobile as is.
