Windows Mobile 6.5: The Annoying Flaw

Windows Mobile 6.5 has a really annoying usability flaw that we’ve seen in each and every build of 6.5 that we’ve tested (and we’ve tested many).

The flaw is that the Start menu closes after you launch a program from it. This behavior didn’t exist in Windows Mobile 6.1 and earlier. While for some users, especially those that typically work with just one program per session, this may not be a big deal, but for the poweruser that often opens a program, spends a few seconds in it, closes it, then opens another one, this is a huge flaw and a big annoyance.
