Taimur Asad of RedmondPie recently expressed his hope for a Metro UI add-on for Windows 7 Tablet PCs. As you know, the Metro UI is featured in the Windows Phone 7 Series devices as shown at Mobile World Congress. This user interface design was created to be completely touch friendly, while also being something totally different from the other touch UI’s out there. It’s already been implemented in the Zune HD and works very nicely. One of the things that most people complain about in Windows based Tablet PCs is that its’ UI is just like Windows, which normally people think you need to use a mouse for. Adding a variation of the extremely cool and attractive Metro UI to Tablet PCs could certainly be a good thing. What do you think? Should the Metro UI come to touch enabled PCs as well?
