As we saw in our tour of TouchFLO 3D 2.5 build 1919, the next generation of HTC devices like the HD2 will have a home screen that can display a full-screen weather animation. You can also get a sense of that in the HD2 promo video from HTC’s YouTube channel (fast forward to 30 seconds).

No other phone gives you location-aware weather on your main screen in such a big way. While it may be interesting to pull out your phone on a snowy day to see snowflakes fall behind your next calendar appointment, it may also be distracting. What do you think? Is it useful or distracting?
