Video: Getting Started with the Toshiba G910

In this video, I go through the out of box experience of the G910. I found it interesting that in order to align the screen, you have to do six taps on the screen instead of four; this is probably because of the WVGA resolution that requires more aligning.

Because this is a business device, Toshiba has kept the amount of program add-ons to the minimum. No software is installed on the device out of the box that changes the UI.

Although the high resolution on the screen makes everything appear super crisp and allows for a lot of screen data to show at once, I’ve found that even at max brightness, the contrast of the G910′s screen is far from that of a device like the AT&T Tilt, or even my Motorola Q9h. The whites are just not very white.

In the next video, we’ll cover in detail the functionality of the external OLED screen, plus the utility of the fingerprint scanner. We’ll also figure out how to use those hardware shortcut buttons. =D
