To Be Released Nokia N96 Ups the Memory Storage War

Not to be outdone by Apple's recent refresh of the iPhone line to include 16 GB of on-board storage, Nokia is going to release the N96 Symbian OS powered phone to include 16 GB of storage in addition to a traditional microSD storage slot. MicroSD storage is currently available in maximum capacities of 8 GB, but 12 and 16 GB storage are coming soon. This could place the N96 with up to 32 GB of storage with the card utilized.

According to Into Mobile, the device will be released with quadband GSM, but only dual-band HSDPA. HSDPA, the 3G data technology employed, will operate on the 850 and 2100 MHz, but will not have the 1900 MHz band for AT&T in the US.
