Here are three things that may make your life a tad bit easier if you use a Smartphone / Standard device.

1. When faced with a setting that requires you to click right or left to see the other options, if you click OK on the item, it will bring up a vertical list of all items, making it much easier to see the choices.

2. As seen below, if you call up a contact with multiple numbers, you can press the right or left button on the D-Pad to cycle through the persons other numbers, including the text command for SMS. This is instead of clicking on the contact then scrolling to the desired number. (Originally posted a WM Team Blog.)

3. When you’re in any list that has a “More” command at the bottom (such as Start Menu or Settings), you can use the left and right D-Pad to flip to the next screen instead.
