Acer had just bought E-Ten for $290 to acquire the Glofiish line of smartphones. E-Ten has brought some innovative phone designs to the market and adding VGA screens to PDA-phone designs, like the X800.

Hopefully, with the acquisition of E-Ten, Acer will be able to bring more smartphones to market, especially Stateside. According to Engadget Mobile, the deal should close sometime during the third quarter as both boards have approved. There is still no word on future branding.
