All mounts created equal?
The search for the perfect vehicle mounting solution is a tedious one. Companies offering vent clips, suction cup dashboard or windshield mounts are a dime a dozen. Google hit the nail on the head with their Nexus One car mount. However, the Nexus one is only one small fish in a sea of smartphones, GPS units, and tablet devices.

ProClip has taken a unique approach to the device mount market by offering a two-piece system. The first piece is custom fit to the year, make, and model of the car you will be installing it into. From there, you choose the phone or device you wish to mount. This second piece will be mounted onto the first adapter that snaps snuggly into place. The advantage here is that every time you get a new phone, you can simply pick up the specific mount for it. For this review, we used a mount designed to hold an iPhone with a case on it.

PROS
+ Low-profile
+ Fits virtually every make and model
+ Two-piece system to fit many devices
+ Solid design keeps devices from shaking
CONS
- Higher price tag then most mount systems
- Can sometimes obstruct view of in-car stereo

Conclusion
After using the ProClip mount system for two weeks, we can safely say this ones a winner. We were able to fit both a Samsung Galaxy S and a HTC EVO 4G into the mount and found our device to be easily viewable and within arms reach. Because the mount snaps tightly into place, not even the infamous New England roads could shake our phones loose from the mount. If you can put the $79.99 price tag aside (for a complete system), there is no better alternative and this will be the last car mount you buy.
