Recently we posted speculated that current and last generation devices won’t get official Windows Mobile 6.5 updates for a variety of reasons. That set off quite a bit of discussion, and some readers suggested that if HTC/Verizon/Samsung etc were to offer the Windows Mobile 6.5 update for a price, they’d be willing to pay for it.

So let’s assume that your OEM or carrier charged $45 to buy the upgrade (this number comes from when Compaq offered an operating system upgrade for the iPAQ h3630 several years ago). At this price, would you pay for Windows Mobile 6.5?
