After revoking the Omnia HD of its Omnia branding and reserving it for Windows Mobile devices, the rumor mills have it that Samsung is continuing its Windows Mobile Omnia franchise with a device by the name of the Omnia Pro, which will place it close to the Touch Pro2.

Much in the same way that the Touch Pro2 is essentially the same as the Diamond2 but with a sliding keyboard, the Omnia Pro will have the Omnia design and add a sliding QWERTY. According to The Boy Genius Report, the Omnia Pro will feature a 3.5-inch 800 x 480 AMOLED touchscreen display and a 5-megapixel autofocus shooter with flash. The device will rock on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and will have an upgrade to 6.5 later.

Expect a launch of July if rumors are true.
