Microsoft’s Vision of Mobile Devices in 2019

At the Wharton Business Technology Conference, the president of Microsoft’s business division unveiled a video showing what 2019 could look like in terms of computing.

If you flip to 2:10, you’ll see a short segment showing mobile. The man in the video is using a mobile device that is comprised of two detachable credit card-sized touchscreens. From these screens, he’s able to make a video call, transfer files to the caller on the other end, plus access his PIM. The prospect of having two touch-sensitive screens on a mobile device is interesting – it would have a similar effect to having two monitors: you could multitask more easily, while seeing more screen data. Also, you could use both hands to use the device, like you do on a regular computer. If you don’t have both hands free, you can fold the phone over and just use one display. Via BGR.
